Yes and no. There’s no one right way to do it, but there are some principles that will help your garden grow well.
Making sure that sun-loving plants won’t get shaded out by taller ones as the season progresses.
Some plants just don’t grow well together.
Short season plants will leave an empty space and you’ll want to plan ahead so you know what still has time to grow.
Creating a layout ahead of time will help you plan all this and know what area of the garden has already been planted (it can be easy to forget if you haven’t labeled it clearly!)
